We guide you through a step by step set up process, to put you in control of your computer and its features.
If you're not tech-minded but you've got yourself a new computer, it's easy to be overwhelmed by all the user guides, cables and discs. With our setup service, we'll get your PC, laptop or netbook up and running the way you want it.
Why do I need it?
- It's a quick way to get your new computer ready for action.
- It's easy. We can do it over the phone with Remote Control, if you like.
- You don’t have to wait for a home visit (Unless you would prefer one?)
What we do
- Check your computer and all the bits and pieces before starting.
- Set up your operating system (e.g. Windows®), and set the parameters for optimised performance.
- Create user accounts and passwords for users who will use the PC.
- Install any software or peripherals you bought with your computer.
- Perform a Windows update and enable the various safety and security features of the computer.
- Personalise your computer, and create screen backgrounds and screen savers to match your preference.
What we don't do
- Transfer data from an old computer. This takes a while, so we can't include it in a fixed price package. We can do it with pay as you go support, though.
- Find an internet provider or set up your contract.
- Set up Apple Mac computer or Linux systems
